On November 13, 1967, Frank Sinatra hosted the "Man and His Music" television special featuring Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Here, prelude to your evening's libations, is a lovely duet between Sinatra and Lady Ella. It features the wonderful Jerome Kern turn The Song Is You, which Sinatra has sung a thousand times in a thousand different ways.

On March 18, 1939, Sinatra made his first recording, of a song called "Our Love", with the Frank Mane band. In June, Harry James hired Sinatra on a one year contract of $75 a week.[8]
