In 1938, a 23-year-old Frank Sinatra was arrested in Bergen County, N.J. on charges of seduction and adultery. According to the FBI reports, "On the second and ninth days of November 1938 at the Borough of Lodi" and "under the promise of marriage" Sinatra "did then and there have sexual intercourse with the said complainant, who was then and there a single female of good repute." This, the charge stated, was "contrary and in violation of the revised statute of 1937." The charges were later dismissed when it was determined that the woman involved was married.

Frank Sinatra appeared in more than 50 movies, winning an Oscar for his performance in Maggio, the doomed GI in "From Here to Eternity" ( 1952). He played everything from a shy sailor in "Anchors Aweigh" (1945) to a tough Army investigator in "The Manchurian Candidate" (1962), a tormented drug addict in "The Man With the Golden Arm" (1955) and a daring prisoner of war in "Von Ryans Express (1965).

This adorable Frank Sinatra® ornament is made by Carlton Cards®, and it is part of the 2000 Christmas Crooners collection. It depicts the Swingin' Sounds of Christmas. It comes with 3 AAA batteries and plays "Let It Snow" when the button on the back is pushed. The ornament is 4.5" x 3.5" x 2". So cute!
Sinatra played a kind of court-jester role for Giancana, giving command performances when asked. Sinatra ... arranged command performances by other entertainers for Giancana, especially at Giancana’s Wheeling, Ill., nightclub, the Villa Venice Supper Club, a front for an illegal-gambling operation. Sinatra arranged several shows there featuring himself, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Eddie Fisher. The performers at these shows worked gratis.
One notable exception was Frank Sinatra's mother, Dolly, a large and very ambitious woman who was brought to this country at two months of age by her mother and father, a lithographer from Genoa. In later years Dolly Sinatra, possessing a round red face and blue eyes, was often mistaken for being Irish, and surprised many at the speed with which she swung her heavy handbag at anyone uttering "Wop."

At Rancho Mirage during the early 1980's, Frank and Barbara Sinatra feel most at ease out of all of the homes they own together. There are "his" and "hers" cactus gardens; door mats monogrammed BAS (for her) and FAS (for him)!! There's a swimming pool and tennis court, guest houses and green spaces and a projection room in old railroad caboose, where he ... keeps his collection of model trains. Barbara loves animals, particularly dogs. At one point, at the Compound, there were as many as eight dogs!
