Perhaps you know a Formula One fan or two, but likely not. This would be a good week to spot them... as Sunday marks the F/1 circuit's annual visit to the United States. The U.S. Grand Prix in Indianapolis is like Christmas for these fans; it only comes but once a year. As passionate as these fans are about Formula One, but they make up only a small portion of the racing fans in the United States.

The old fashioned DFV helped make the UK domestic Formula One series possible between 1978 and 1980. As in South Africa a generation before, second hand cars from manufacturers like Lotus and Fittipaldi Automotive were the order of the day, although some, such as the March 781, were built specifically for the series. In 1980 the series saw South African Desiré Wilson become the only woman to win a Formula One race when she triumphed at Brands Hatch in a Wolf WR3.[25]

The 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix will be first street race in Asia and is one of three races in the 2008 F1 calendar to run anticlockwise. Subject to final safety clearances, the race will be the first held at night in F1 history.

With half of that time spent in Formula One, Schumacher has won nearly double the number of races of the next most victorious driver, Alain Prost, who has 51 victories. He has won two more drivers' titles than Juan Manuel Fangio, who is the only driver to win five titles - a record he held from 1957 until Schumacher equaled it in 2002.

Submissions from last year's contest included everything from delicately designed purses and a chess set, to a traditional Mexican headdress and a formula one racing car. With the launch of this year's contest, Tupperware expects to double the number of worldwide entries from the previous year.
