Formula One: Formula One World Championship
built 659 days ago
Formula One, abbreviated to F1, is the highest class of auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motor sport's world governing body. The "formula" in the name is a set of rules which all participants and cars must meet. The F1 world championship season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held usually on purpose-built circuits, and in a few cases on closed city streets. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers and one for constructors.

When Kimi Raikkonen, racing for Ferrari, won the 2007 Formula One world championship on Sunday, it definitely had the feeling of karma finally coming back around for him — although it took a while to develop. After qualifying on Saturday, Raikkonen sat third, behind Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton, who qualified first and second. Fernando Alonso was fourth. At that point, it would’ve been tough to believe in a Raikkonen title.

Walliams is one of the oldest and most prestigious teams in Formula One. Its manager, David Walliams, along with his comedic sidekick Matt Lucas and technical director M.T. Adithya, collectively spend most of their time complaining that it is impossible to compete with teams who have more money than them. Despite having won 122 races since their foundation in 1980, they have failed to finish a race since 1987.Their most succesful period came when Walliams shaved a bear named Alan Jones and raced him in the 1980 World Championship.
