The large sedan, 2008 Ford Taurus is available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. Two trim levels, base SEL and up level Limited, are offered. A new 3.5-liter V-6 makes an estimated 260 horsepower. With new V-6 teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission, the all-new Taurus can tow up to 1,000 pounds when properly equipped. Major changes for the new 2008 Taurus include a larger and more powerful V-6 engine, new front and rear styling and new suspension tuning.

Not to forget the fact that Ford Taurus is one of the 10 best-selling vehicles in the entire United States. The 2004 Ford Taurus begins its improvements with the changes to the interior cabin followed by the floor body with added damping and a series of quality measures to reduce air leakage and cabin noise, including the use of expanding foam in the A-pillar and other body cavities and the use of new sealing material in weld access holes. The upgrades have now made it a reliable midsize car. This car is available in two body styles: four-door sedan and four-door wagon. Base models are equipped with standard 3-passenger front bench seat, which gives it a sedans 6-passenger capacity, while wagons seat eight with a 2-passenger rear-facing 3rd-row seat. In addition, there are four trim levels to choose from: LX, SE, SES and SEL.

The 2003 Ford Taurus has new interior color clusters that give a fresh feel to the cabin. Both leather and cloth seating fabrics have been improved as well. While there are a wide variety of configurations for the Taurus, the base LX is still given a good number of indispensable features. Up at the Deluxe version of the SEL... the refinement really spills over the brim.

The Ford Taurus debuted in 1986 as a mid-size sedan with production lasting for nearly 20 years. During this time the Taurus recieved several awards including Motor Trend’s “Car of the Year” and appeared on Car and Driver’s “Ten Best List” several times over. The Ford Taurus line is aerodynamically styled, shifting from the boxy designs of the 80’s toward a rounded futuristic look. The reason was two fold. First the new design pleased consumers and second improved aerodynamics reduced drag on the highways, improving fuel economy. The 2nd generation Taurus was the best selling car in the US during its production.

At first, the Ford Taurus aftermarket wasn't very responsive towards the SHO. This is where the SHO Shop came in. From 1992 to 2004, SHO Shop carried a complete line of high quality street and track performance aftermarket parts for the Taurus SHO, including engine electronics, spark plugs, radiator, cooling system, intake, exhaust, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, tires, and yeah, especially the clutch. Eventually, everyone needed a clutch, and for a clutch, you called the SHO Shop. There was even had a supercharger! Over the years, the SHO Shop could make any Taurus SHO out-handle a BMW, stop like a Porsche, and out-accelerate a Corvette.

If a sedan is too small for your family and a sport utility vehicle too big, the 2008 Ford Taurus X will be just right. The Taurus X is a smart-looking reinvention of the old-fashioned station wagon. There is room for the kids and the kids' stuff, but you won't feel like you're piloting a river barge. Many SUVs and crossover utility vehicles drive like a truck. Not this one.
