The Expedition was first made available in 1997 and was intended to fill the gap between the smaller Ford Explorer and the larger and now discontinued Ford Excursion. The Expedition offers consumers the convenience of nine passenger seating in an addition to a range of powerful V8 engine options. The Expedition was redesigned in 2003 and consumer response was favorable as more than one million Expeditions have been sold since the 2004 model.

2007 Ford Expedition Ford Expedition – Review: Big, comforting and kinda funky, the 2007 Ford Expedition is like your old friend Moose. You know Moose. He’s the guy your wife thinks is rude but still loves to have over when the kids are in bed, there’s beer to drink and pork rinds to eat. Funny thing is that Ford’s new Expedition is just like Moose – but with a hair piece. Redesigned and significantly upgraded for 2007, the Expedition by itself won’t save the Ford Motor Company, but it’s vitally important to protecting Ford’s turf in the full-size SUV market. Chevrolet’s recently redesigned Tahoe and Suburban have boosted GM’s chances of making a comeback.

The Ford Expedition made its debut into the full-size SUV market a decade ago and continues to fill a need for consumers who demand a roomy, powerful vehicle capable of simultaneously hauling people, cargo, and a trailer. It can seat up to 9 passengers across 3 rows of seats and still carry 18.6 cubic feet of cargo in the rear. Folding the second and third rows flat expands cargo capacity to 108.2 cubic feet. The 2007 Expedition delivers a new level of interior comfort, refinement and quality. For example, Expedition’s seats have been redesigned from the floor up with improved contours, larger bolsters, softer cushions, and upgraded materials to provide increased comfort on long trips. The new Expedition ... features a more angular, partitioned dashboard with a prominent center stack.

The Ford Expedition made its debut in 1997 as a large sports utility vehicle that can seat eight passengers. Upon its introduction the buyers had a range of V8 engines to choose from. The vehicle came in two versions, the XLT and the Eddie Bauer edition, which are available with 2 or 4 wheel drive. The vehicle can carry a load of 3600kg. In the years between 1997 and 2003, Ford changed the look and power of the Expedition with two of the V8 engines becoming more powerful without losing their mileage. The vehicle ... got a new grille, and front and rear end bumpers.
