- Peter Tork
Peter Tork is a part of American pop culture history. He was in the Monkees, a made for TV band, decades before American Idol was even a gleam in Simon Cowell's eye. But Tork was ... a real musician, jamming with artists as diverse as folk/blues guru Dave Van Ronk and psychedelic rock god Jimi Hendrix. - Failure
Failure to thrive is a condition commonly seen by primary care physicians. Prompt diagnosis and intervention are important for preventing malnutrition and developmental sequelae. Medical and social factors often contribute to failure to thrive. Either extreme of parental attention (neglect or hypervigilance) can lead to failure to thrive. About 25 percent of normal infants will shift to a lower growth percentile in the first two years of life and then follow that percentile; this should not be diagnosed as failure to thrive. Infants with Down syndrome, intrauterine growth retardation, or premature birth follow different growth patterns than normal infants. - Cover -- Covers
With PMI Cover SystemTM, you can add one limb at a time, a "spot" of leaves, a 4-Branch system or the full cover 6-Branch system. In addition, any of these branch configurations can be used with the universal Quick Mount Block for trees or with the optional Ground Spike Base for instant, fully portable ground blind set-up. - Chimaira
[One] feature that is bound to be noticed by most that have followed Chimaira is the change in dynamic on the bottom end of the songs. The thick basslines of Jim LaMarca combined with the newfound dirge of former Dying Fetus drummer Kevin Talley adds a fresh, new feel to the music as a whole. Considering Talley's background with bands like Fetus, there's certainly no surprises that the drumwork is phenomenal. However, it is surprising how much more depth is brought to the sound from the combination of Talley and LaMarca. Songs like "Salvation" plod along while unleashing furious blasts of bottom end throughout. - Fingers
The membership of the Fingers partnership has changed little over the years with three of the original six remaining (Alan Preston, Ruth Baird and Roy Mason). Michael Couper joined in 1977, and Andrea Daly in 1990. The time when the partners all worked one day a week in Fingers has gone ... with Renee Bevan and Octavia Cook now assisting in the gallery. - Coldplay -- Bands
In 1998, Coldplay was performing small club gigs for local Camden promoters. Wanting more creative freedom, Martin recruited fellow student and childhood friend Phil Harvey to act as band manager. Harvey helped the band raise money needed to record a demo. Harvey managed the band up until and including the release of their debut album Parachutes. On May 18, 1998 the band released 500 copies of the EP Safety. Most of the discs were given to record companies and friends; only 50 copies remained for sale to the public. - Jethro Tull -- Ian Anderson
Everyone seems to belive the band Jethro Tull is one man, one person with a back-up band. Everyone is wrong. Jethro Tull was an actual man, in the 18th century, and they just took his name. The band consists of Ian Anderson (lead vocals and flute), Andy Giddings (keyboards), John Noyce (bass) and Doane Perry (drums). Tony Iommi was once a part of Jethro Tull, but was fired because he was incompitent. He later joined Black Sabbath and became really famous.
