The new captor P-R-O 50 Flow Switch is for applications requiring RELATIVE measurement and set-point of flow rate. This means that the actual velocity of the flow or the quantitative measurement in GPM is not known and is not important. What is important is that the Flow Switch’s set-point can be set as a “percentage of” or “relative to” the full flow rate. No other flow switch could do it this simply or effectively.

FCI Flow Switches feature thermal dispersion technology in which the temperature difference is greatest in a no-flow condition and decreases as flow increases, cooling the heated RTD. Changes in flow velocity directly affect the extent to which heat dissipates and, in turn, the magnitude of the temperature difference between the RTDs.

A magnet in the piston housing is displaced by the liquid/ gas flow or no-flow condition to actuate a hermetically sealed SPDT reed switch. Constructed of brass or 316 stainless steel, the switch is available with -in. NPT ports.

Flow switches can be mounted horizontally or vertically. As the operating piston is returned to it's original position by gravity the cap must always be upwards. Greater operate flow sensitivity is achieved with vertical installation. Supplied with 25cm Cable.

This Model is designed with a pointer for visual flow indication and an adjustable SPDT Reed Switch to be set for desired flow settings. A spring-loaded vane adjusts with the flow for indication. Dial, pointer, switch are in separate housing.
