Flintstones: Stone Age
built 640 days ago
The Flintstones were the modern Stone Age family. Residing in Bedrock, Fred Flintstone worked an unsatisfying quarry job, but returned home to lovely wife Wilma and eventually daughter Pebbles. Fred, a big fan of golf and bowling... enjoyed bulling neighbor Barney Rubble, while Barney's saucy wife Betty was best friends with Wilma. Barney and Betty has an unnaturally powerful son, Bam-Bam. "The Flintstones," heavily inspired by "The Honeymooners," convinced a generation of children that dinosaurs and humans occupied the planet at the same time.

Defying odds both medical and cultural, The Flintstones succeeded quickly. The concept of a family living in the stone age, yet wanting for none of lifes conveniences (except for a decent shave) made fertile ground for sight-gags; stop lights were run by birds, dishwashing machines were manned by furiously scrubbing monkeys, and heavy construction could be accomplished by strapping a suitable drivers compartment onto the back of a Brontasaurous.
