built 506 days ago
The new Fire Station No. 4 on George Richey Road is open. The staff at station No. 4 is working out of a location on South High Street and will move into the new 7,500-square-feet facility in the next few weeks. The $1.2 million station was built on land donated by B.P. America Production Co. It was paid for by savings that had accumulated in the Longview's early debt retirement funds, according to Angela Coen, the city's director of finance. The new station houses a work study room, living quarters and a physical fitness room, in addition to a large kitchen and other living areas.

It is numbered 16 on the door with a RI herald in a circle above it. It is posed outside a building labeled Fire Station. There are three guys in the picture, one sitting in the passenger side, one sitting on the running board and a third standing with one foot on the running board. The truck has a large dark grill with a vertical separation, the headlights ar mounted between the hood and fenders and the siren is on the left hand front fender. There is a windshield, but no cab. A single pole with a beacon light is centered behind the seat. Is this the same shot you have already seen?

The rescue fire services are based on a critical aircraft based on a statistical analysis of movements (take-offs and landings) on the airport. The aerodrome category is based on the size of the biggest aircraft taking a movement on the aerodrome. In addition, the number of movements of the critical aircraft is calculated, and the category can be decreased by one if the number of movements is lower than the standard describes. There are ... minimum category levels based on e.g. the number of seats in the critical aircraft.

For years, she lived downtown -- at the Cotton Mill on Capital Boulevard and at Park Devereux on Dawson Street next to the fire station -- moving only when she married two years ago. Her stockbroker husband worked in California and made her agree to move into a house in return for relocating to Raleigh.
