Final Fantasy II was originally released on the Famicom in Japan in 1998. The story centers on four youths who join a resistance to end the Emperor's military campaign against the world. Final Fantasy II was the first game to introduce Chocobos.
Wii Fit continues to sell well, moving another 214,000 units on the way past three quarters of a million sold, while Final Fantasy IV on DS (sadly) reinforced Square's rehash policy by selling 288,000 copies. As for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, which last week debuted at #3, well...it's a little lower this week.

Final Fantasy uses a turn-based combat system. The enemies wait until all of your party members have performed their moves, and the ATB (active-time battle) system is not used. You can buy weapons and rest in the towns, and the world map is populated by monsters, with which you will be engaged in random fights.

There are a lot of references to Aeons from Final Fantasy 10. There are two airships called The Ifrit and The Shiva. These are the names of the second and fourth Aeons obtained in Final Fantasy 10. There is a place called Sky Fortress Bahamut. Bahamut is the name of the fifth Aeon you receive in Final Fantasy 10. Finally, one of Montibecs elite marks is Ixion.
