Final Fantasy Versus XIII may be the most mysterious of the three known FFXIII projects, but, in a surprising twist, it's going to be the first one with a soundtrack! HMV Japan has posted a listing for a new soundtrack from Square Enix that will contain tracks from the TBA title.

The promised trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII has emerged at long last. The video might be little more than a movie montage of the previously revealed scans, but at least it includes music by veteran Square composer Yoko Shimomura and a fraudulent Shakespeare reference. See it now

While the traditional installment of the Fabula Nova Crystallis project is going to be Final Fantasy XIII, there is another game titled Final Fantasy Versus XIII that is drawing additional hype. Featuring a mysterious main character who mentally summons weapons and has an eerie backdrop, Versus XIII has Square Enix fans jumping up and down in excitement. It doesn't that many of the members behind the Advent Children movie as well as Kingdom Hearts 2 are onboard and actively working on this title. Nomura himself is said to be doing the character design, which should make some fans very happy.
