Each year the Sundance Film Festival selects 200 films for exhibition from more than 8000 submissions. More than 50,000 people attend screenings in twelve theatres in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah. In addition to discovering filmmaking's newest talent through the Festival's program of documentary, dramatic, and short film, Festivalgoers experience live music shows, panel discussions with leading filmmakers and industry figures, parties celebrating the Festival community, and more.

Beginning January 18, visit www.sundance.org/watch to view 10 short films over 10 days from the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, each streaming free online for 24 hours beginning at 12:01 am MST each day. From a sublimely sweet love story set among zombies and a thriller about an Inuit hunter witnessing a murder to the tale of a man's affection for his miniature guide horse and the true story of a man looking for answers to his failed marriage, these shorts truly celebrate the innovation of the short filmmaking craft.

NEW YORK, Dec. 4 (PRNewswire) - Showtime Networks is pleased to announce its "SHOWTIME INDEPENDENT FILMS" banner, which marks the first time Showtime has financed movies directly for the independent theatrical marketplace. The network has worked with established specialty producers and directors to create low budget films for theatrical premiere and, as a result, three films produced under this initiative have been accepted into the prestigious 2004 Sundance Film Festival January 15 - 25.
