Fernando Alonso (born on July 29, 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain) is a Spanish Formula One driver and the reigning two-time, world champion. Alonso made his F1 debut in 2001 for backmarkers Minardi. In 2002 he joined the Renault F1 Team as a test driver.

Fernando Alonso wins the 2007 FIA Formula-1 Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Monza, Italy, with his teammate, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton second.
