Massa won his first race of 2007 at Bahrain. Felipe Massa (born April 25, 1981) is a Brazilian Formula One racing driver, currently employed by the Ferrari team. He is under contract to race for Ferrari until the end of the 2010 season.[1]
Felipe Massa managed to bang in a respectable third place on the famous Monaco streets. But his top speeds were nowhere near the speeds achieved by his competitors in the silver MCLaren Mercedes F1 cars. In fact, after the first corner, Felipe never even seriously managed to hassle rookie McLaren F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, who steadily vanished into the distance hot on the tail of Fernando Alonso. But one has to admit that his was a clean race, at least.
Felipe Massa climbed steadily and quietly up the F1 ladder at Sauber until he had his big chance as a driver for Ferrari in 2006. As Michael Schumacher's teammate the Brazilian did not disappoint, winning the first two races of his career, the Turkish Grand Prix and the Brazilian Grand Prix. As teammate to Kimi Raikkonen in 2007, Massa started as a pre-season a favorite for the drivers' title.
