The GradPLUS loan program was introduced by the Federal government in response to calls from graduate and professional school students for increased loan limits to pay for their education. Eligibility for GradPLUS loans is determined by a simple credit check. There is no specified dollar limit to GradPLUS loans -- students may borrow up to the full cost of education less any financial aid received, including Stafford loans.
