Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is an equal-opportunity offender who has managed to piss off both the FCC and the originators of South Park. So, when Chaunce Hayden interviewed him for September's Full Frontal TV Q&A section and asked, "What Family Guy got the most negative reaction?" he wasn't surprised when Seth retorted, "We did an episode where Peter Griffin got upset because he learned that his son was more endowed than him. That episode raised eyebrows with the FCC. In fact, they even investigated it! Yes, your tax dollars at work!" Check out more comedic quotes from this voice impresario in the new issue.
In a July 23, 2007 report, creator Seth McFarlane told The Hollywood Reporter that a Family Guy feature film is a possibility for the future. He said, "We have been trying to figure out how to do that and the series at the same time without the series suffering." In another report made on October 1, 2007, Seth has considered the possibility of a live-action project., but seemed to be joking as he said he would have Rosie O'Donnell be the part of Peter.

Family Guy’s main man, Seth MacFarlane, has joined the strike, but the show has not! FOX decided to continue with new episodes even though MacFarlane won’t be on board as showrunner and the many voices he usually provides. And, to say the least, MacFarlane is not happy about it. Family Guy for PlayStation 2 Review - PlayStation 2 Family Guy Review Who would have thought that after twice being canceled in a period of just over two years, Family Guy would not only return to television, but prove to be even more popular than it was during its initial runs? The franchise is now seeing higher ratings, a made-for-DVD movie, and 2K Games and High Voltage Software's new video game adaptation of the show for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PlayStation Portable. Among the lexicon of Fox animated sitcoms to get the game treatment, Family Guy falls into the middling range--neither as good as the best of The Simpsons games, nor as bad as the worst of them. The best thing about it is that it is legitimately funny, with some wildly bawdy humor that delivers more than it falters. Unfortunately, the part where you actually play Family Guy isn't enjoyable at all. The gameplay is a perfect example of the "throw a bunch of ideas at the wall and see what sticks" mentality, but in this case, nothing is polished enough to stick, and it all ends up on the floor in an ugly, unenjoyable mess.

Family Guy could have just as easily been made back on the NES, given the outrageously primitive gameplay. The gameplay is split into three sections – you play as Stewie, Brian and Peter throughout different segments, and the gameplay styles are vastly and deliberately different. Stewie plays as a platformer/shooter, Brian plays stealth levels and Peter plays in a side-scrolling beat-em-up fashion. This wouldn’t be so bad if each style was done well, but they are probably the most basic one could ever imagine the genres to be. Brian’s levels are particularly lousy. Frustrating, tedious stealth levels have you hiding behind tables and creeping down hallways, avoiding the eyes of carbon copy enemies.
Have you ever watched “The Simpsons”, “The Family Guy”, or heaven forbid “South Park” and wondered why the creators of these shows often ruin the show with inappropriate, shocking or irreverent content? They are Funny! But do they really need all that stuff to be funny? Conversely have you ever watched shows made specifically for kids, or with “uplifting” Christian content and cringed and the extreme cheesiness and barely watchable writing? They are uplifting and appropriate to watch as a family, but do they really have to be so didactic and dull?
