Alex Flinn is a former attorney whose fascination with witness reliability and bias led her to write Fade to Black. She is the author of three previous books: Breathing Underwater, an ALA Top 10 Best Books for Young Adults; Breaking Point, an ALA Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers; and Nothing to Lose, one of ALA Booklist’s Top 10 Youth Mysteries. No money is required to try out dues are only collected from members of Fade to Black Dance Ensemble. Remember to bring your application if it is not finished. Applications are an important factor in the audition process and will be looked at very carefully so please remember to bring them. Other items that may be beneficial to bring are: a water bottle, a tape (to record try-out music), appropriate shoes, any medication you may need, and most importantly a positive attitude!
