Facebook is going to have to defend itself against at least one more lawsuit in the coming months. They’re not just dealing with the ConnectU lawsuit - another one was filed against them last month, in Pennsylvania.

Originally called thefacebook, Facebook was founded by former-Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg (while at Harvard) who ran it as one of his hobby projects with some financial help from Eduardo Saverin. Within months, Facebook and its core idea spread across the dorm rooms of Harvard where it was very well received. Soon enough, it was extended to Stanford and Yale where, like Harvard, it was widely endorsed.

In the months prior to allowing open registration, Facebook.com's traffic hovered at approximately 14 million visitors per month. However, after Facebook opened its doors to the general public, visitation accelerated to reach a level of 26.6 million visitors in May 2007, up 89 percent versus the same month last year and 100 percent versus September 2006.

Facebook can serve as a gauge for evaluating worth as a human being. This can have dramatic and lasting consequences, as many who have failed to consider themselves worthwhile human beings by this definition have often sunk into traumatic and suicidal depressive cycles, eventually resulting in a lightly-publicised Internet suicide and the source of a temporal fad for about three months.
