Fable trains with Adalric on Trulalis. Grieving over their dead friend, Fable and Deke waited on Iscera for their next orders. To keep their minds off the recent tragedy, Deke grabbed tickets to a local play, For the Want of an Empire. Although initially skeptical of what a small planet like Iscera had to offer in terms of theatre, Fable became captivated by the leading man. Jaalib Brandl's acting was flawless and Fable was enthralled to see how he handled a prop sword with such skill and poise. Fable hurried to meet the young actor after the play, but Jaalib was hurrying off-world and their meeting was brief.

Xboxygen posted a few new concept art images from Fable 2, which include that mysterious (yet revolutionary) dog. We now know why Lionhead Studios didn't release these images until after the big announcement, otherwise they'd have spilled the beans on the whole puppy thing and left people wondering "what the heck is that furry thing doing in my Fable 2 artwork?" So, go ahead and take a look, digest the recent Fable 2 news, pet your dog, and come back with a refreshed face and an optimistic outlook on life.
Fable and Deke returned to their ship, and that's when the nightmares began. Vialco began to penetrate Fable's dreams in an effort to turn her to the dark side. The nightmares would replay her failure in Nysza III and the death of Arecelis. One dream in particular became so vivid that Fable burned herself with her own lightsaber. Fable decided she needed further training to defend against Vialco's attacks, and was reminded of Jaalib's skill with a sword on stage. After a database search by Deke, Fable learned that Jaalib's father was the Inquisitor Adalric Brandl.
