One of the coolest things about Fable is how your character’s abilities and appearance change based on your choices. If you’ve been good, you’ll look pure and sweet and innocent. If you’ve been bad, you’ll look like you’re touring with Marilyn Manson.

Besides suffering from a brutal paper towel shortage, the folks at Lionhead seem to be hard at work on Fable 2. Not these three new character renders from the game showing off the Hobbes of Fable. and then apparently point and laugh.

Everything that you do in Fable has a consequence and will shape your character, whether for good or evil. Obviously how you interact with the townsfolk has an affect on their opinion of your ways. Being that a great deal of Fable focuses on how well renowned a character is, there are various opportunities to spread the word of your deeds. This can be something as simple as helping a group of traders safely pass a bandit laden forest, or as specific as bragging about exactly how you’ll complete a quest prior to embarking on it. The boasting platform is your character’s podium for showing off. Here you can brag about how you’ll take down that bridge troll using only a knife. While this feat might not be the most logical, should you complete a quest in exactly the method you outlined, the townsfolk will be singing your praises in no time.
