Section B of The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology is a leading international journal which publishes in all areas of comparative and physiological psychology. The general concerns of the Journal are: how animals acquire and use knowledge of their world; the nature of such knowledge; the relationship between knowledge and behavior; the neural mechanisms underlying psychological processes; the relationship between learning, motivational and cognitive processes in non-human animals and comparable human processes; and the role of behavior in ecology and evolution.

Experimental Psychology, for IBM-PC/XT/ATs & compatibles, Level 1, consists of 19 programs that will run on your computer without requiring any additional hardware or interfacing. These programs are complete and easy to use, with menus to guide the instructor or student through the various parameter choices and data analyses. Individual programs can be used to demonstrate concepts for introductory classes, or the complete set can be used for the curriculum in an experimental psychology course. Since no further apparatus is required, the programs provide an inexpensive way to add to the repertoire of available experiments. Source code is included so that purchasers with BASIC programming available can edit and modify the programs.
In addition to your research, Experimental Psychology will ... expose you to the world of psychology in general. You might take courses in cognitive psych, social psych, biology, chemistry, child psych, or any number of other fields. Once you learn the basics of each psychological field, you’ll be able to design relevant and valuable experiments, and you’ll begin to see what your research and the research of psychologists from the past and present contribute to the discipline.
The Experimental Psychology track ... tends to be oriented toward the application of fundamental research and quantitative research skills in the solution of practical problems, although there is a greater emphasis on the development of new knowledge through laboratory research. Many experimental psychology students supplement their experimental courses with offerings from ergonomics. Others develop specialized skills by working extensively with computers or through taking additional course work in statistics or physiology.

In the department of Experimental Psychology and Physiology at the University of Granada, a research group is carrying out pioneer work in Spain on the systematic study of synaesthesia and its relation with perception and emotions. Professor Juan Lupiez Castillo and Alicia Callejas Sevilla have devoted many years to the study of this unknown but interesting phenomenon, which affects approximately one person out of every thousand. Many of these people do not even know that they are synaesthetes, as they think they perceive the world normally.
