According to the Bible, Eve was the Earth's first woman and the mate of Adam in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis 2:21, God takes a rib from Adam and uses it to create Eve. Eve is tempted by Satan (in the form of a serpent), who encourages her to disobey God by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge. She does so and then gives the fruit to Adam. When God discovers they have disobeyed him, he expels them from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:23). In Christian tradition, Eve is honored as the first woman and the mother of humankind, but ... condemned for convincing Adam to eat from the tree of knowledge and thereby ruining paradise.

For three years, Eve has made a name for itself as one of the most exclusive places for Milwaukee clubbers. Its pure white interior was exotic, and Eve's doormen ensured that only the best dressed made it through on their watch. While it's still hard to get past the bouncers' judging eyes, the first floor interior has changed from white to romantic red. The windows cast a crimson view on the outside world, making stepping into Eve feel like you're stepping onto another planet. The first-floor restaurant is painted in several alternating shades of red, with a modern feel created by Chicago-based designer Rocco Laudizio of Slick Design. The upper-level dance floor continues the red theme, but oddly enough, the one room that was originally red at Eve's has been made over in platinum.

For her share in the transgression, Eve (and womankind after her) is sentenced to a life of sorrow and travail, and to be under the power of her husband.
