European Cruise: Ships
built 660 days ago
The Norwegian Coastal Voyage fleet is a European cruise line steeped in history, offering a truly unique voyage among the fjords on the west coast of Norway. Primarily a scenic cruise, the Norwegian Coastal Voyage is a journey from Bergen in southern Norway to Kirkenes in the North and back again. Along the way, each ship stops at 34 ports, most of which larger ships cannot access. The fleet ... carries cargo, and some of the stops are for cargo transfer only and you are sailing again in under an hour. Book the 12-day round trip voyage, or take it one-way in 6-7 days. Norwegian Coastal Voyage is perhaps the least expensive way to cruise Norway, but you will not find much entertainment if any, nor will you have dining options or onboard activities.
EUROPEAN CRUISE SERVICE has been the market leader for approx. 150 years, catering for cruise ships in Norway and Scandinavia. Its origin goes back to the 1850’ies when Thomas Bennett established the second travel agency in the world, Bennett Reisebureau A/S, in Christiania, as the capital of Norway was called in those days. Perhaps no man has done more to form the modern travel industry than Thomas Bennett, the colourful expatriate and well-travelled Englishman who made Norway his home.
Western European cruises offer you some of the most desireble vista you will ever see from the seas. You will sail past historic cities and small towns and set your eyes upon unique views and timeless structures dating back hundreds of years. Off the ship you will have the chance to sample the cultures from some of the finest places in Europe. Cruises in Western Europe often leave from London, Lisbon, or Rome and can last from five to eighteen days. Ports visited include Paris, France; Dublin, Ireland; Barcelona, Spain; and the south of France.

There are only three possible downsides of a European cruise vacation. The first is that you will not have much interaction with the local citizens without some effort on your part. If you are eating and sleeping on the ship and touring with the other cruise passengers, your contact and exposure to the local culture is limited.
Free Cruise Brochure When you book a European cruise, most people focus mostly on the ports of call. Of course, this is an important factor, but when most cruises spend at least one day at sea and leave port by dinnertime, what the ships have to offer passengers is ... an important factor. Level of accommodations, types of entertainment, and on-board activities provided by the different European cruise ships should be taken into consideration as well.
On board a European cruise you’ll find yourself, fittingly, treated like royalty. And you’ll enjoy top amenities to boot, including shipboard entertainment, beauty and spa services, and exquisite cuisine — all at your command.
