In cooperation with PCI, Access Capital has formed Access Real Estate S.C (ARE), a real estate development and investment company that will take advantage of select real estate opportunities in Ethiopia. ARE is currently offering ETB (Ethiopian Birr) 100 million in shares to Diaspora and other foreign investors until November 30, 2007. The Chancellor’s visit is aimed at strengthening the already close ties with Ethiopia and Africa in general. In a related development, Commerzbank, Germany’s second largest financial institution has a announced in a press release it sent to Capital that it is to open a representative office in Ethiopia, on October 4th 2007.
