The Epson P-4000 is the third Multimedia Storage Viewing product introduction from Epson and addresses the customer's need for increased storage capacity. It is equipped with an 80GB hard drive for storing over 75,000 images, over 25,000 songs or about 90 to 300 hours of video.** It supports JPEG image files as well as RAW files (on select digital SLR cameras), MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG video files and MP3 and AAC audio files. This product is ... designed with a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface for easily and quickly transferring these files to and from a computer.
The Epson RX700 Printer has a special carrier for the scanner to allow you to scan 35mm slides and negatives into your computer and turn them into prints. This is great for times when an original picture is torn or too damaged to restore, but you have the negatives. The Epson RX700 Printer ... includes a built in multi-card reader for digital camera media of all common types.
Epson has an ink level monitoring chip attached to many new cartridges - which they proclaim calculates how many copies you can print before a new cartridge is needed. It is a system which most users maintain has more to do with Epson profit from the sale of ink than functional design. Canon for instance do not use this system for their Photo printers.

Epson RX700 Printer The Epson RX700 Printer ... features a six cartridge ink system. At first glance you may think that a six cartridge system is a ploy by Epson to get more money out of you in consumables. However, the cartridges are designed so that you can replace just the color that is low, rather than having to replace the entire cartridge because you ran out of one color. In the long run, this makes the cost of ownership lower. Typically, you only see four ink cartridges in a printer, even when the printer uses separate tanks for each color. It is still very common in ink jet printers to only have two cartridges, one black and one color.
