Endo (Musical Act) also shows up in the Retriever categories:
Endo (Uterus) , and more.
One thing that Endo deals with is the nature of faith and how that works out in the real world. If you are expecting someone who tries to gloss over the harsh realities and give you a happy ending, Endo is not the person. He takes a good hard look into the depths of the human heart and he just keeps digging off the scabs.

Endo-ß-mannanase activity in carob seed was low but measurable in all seed parts after 3 d of imbibition, but there was no change in activity until after the completion of germination (Fig. 3). Enzyme activity was higher in the micropylar and lateral endosperm over the 2 d following radicle emergence, but remained very low in the embryo even after the completion of germination.
Greene told Endo that "if he was interested in a Nobel Prize" he would be pleased to introduce him to a "very large and famous publisher." But Endo refused to accept his offer as he "wanted to be faithful to the other British publisher who had undertaken to get his first novel translated into English and published." (This, of course, was the courageous Peter Owen). Greene ... said to Endo that he had just a few years to live and hoped that Endo would continue writing "Catholic" literature as if on his behalf.
What makes Endo a gem of the drama genre in film is the way the societal converges with the relational and the personal without being forced. It is ... a refreshing take at the conditions of the working class without raising the spectre of clenched fists and slum squalor.”
The museum to commemorate Endo will be on a site chosen by Mrs. Endo after five municipalities had announced their candidacies. Sotome takes in one of the villages of "hidden Christians" who kept but curiously modified their faith during centuries of persecution. On this village, Korosaki, Endo modeled the fictitious village of Tomogi in his grim, spiritually disturbing novel "Silence." Designed by Jiro Hirashima to symbolize Japan's cultural gifts to the West, the Endo museum will contain a reading room, an exhibition hall, Endo's manuscripts, a collection of about 7,000 books and the desk and chair he used when writing "Deep River."
The novel Silence (1966), which most critics consider to be Endo's masterpiece, is an austere historical drama which deals more directly with the religious concerns which plagued Endo's entire life. The novel centers on Rodrigues, a young Jesuit evangelist who travels to 17th-century Japan from Portugal in order to discover why his mentor has apostatised rather than suffer martyrdom.
