End-to-end monitoring is the process of attempting to remotely access a web server or other Internet device from across the Internet, just as a real end user would, to verify that the server is accessible and functioning properly at all times. This approach can be used instead of, or as a complement to, local monitoring software run by the web administrator.

After a few years of not having it South End personnel brought back hosting an open house during the national Fire Prevention week. Personnel gave tours of the station and apparatus along with numerous displays were on hand. A child safety seat inspection was on hand along with blood pressure checks. A big thank you to all volunteer personnel, and career staff who assisted that day. Plans are already in place to host a open house again next year.

Lands' End is ... spreading a little extra holiday cheer to its customer service representatives, choosing one a day to hold the special title of Elf of the Day. As a special treat, the Elf of the Day will be spreading holiday joy by offering randomly selected customers free monogramming or gift boxing through December 18th, the last day that Lands' End customers can order monogrammed gifts and receive them before Christmas.
