Emo Hairstyles: Colors
built 605 days ago
A large number of Emo hairstyles have a base color, with highlights or lowlights throughout. These highlights and lowlights are often bright, contrasting colors. Often, the bang or fringe area will be composed of a single or numerous colors. Sometimes the color of the bangs and fringe are entirely different than the shades already incorporated throughout the hairstyle.

With emo hairstyles, anything goes, as long as it doesn’t look like something the prom queen or king would wear. Almost all emo women dye their hair jet black. Many emo men have jet black hair, but it is not universal. Any black dye will do, and the bolder the effect, the better. You need not be concerned about the dye job looking natural, since many emo hairstyles are obviously dyed. You might want to touch up the edges with frosted highlights, purple or blue, but make sure these colors show through the black dye.

Haircolor: The Emo hairstyle is notable for it's color, which it gets from the Gothic lifestyle - an Emo hairstyle must be black... some variations of the Emo hairstyle have a single, thick white streak near the bangs. Some Emos say you aren't really an Emo unless you have this white streak because it is the stark white stripe that sets the Emo lifestyle apart from the Gothic, while other Emos think the starkness of the streak takes away from the "emotionally depressed" look. Other colors of hair need not apply for this strict hairstyling color code.

[O]ne of the first tasks that each potential parent would be given is seeing if they are capable of cleaning the Emo properly. In order to pass this mission, it would be required that the Emo emerge in clean, colorful and respectable clothing and there be no smells coming from the Emo. Most potential parents are capable of doing this; ... there are obviously some that are not.

With the emo hairstyles you do not need expensive equipment to cut or style. Just experimenting with different types of colors adding onto the black and different types of shapes of the hair.
