RollingStone.com">RollingStone.com reported that for the first time in recent memory, Eminem is at a loss for words. The rapper was on a Delta Airlines flight from Cincinnati to New Orleans when a notebook containing his lyrics went missing. The notebook has a picture of Britney Spears on its front cover, and was in a shopping bag shopping bag which ... contained a discman, headphones and CDs. The book is described as containing work that is "extremely important" to Eminem, and the rapper is offering "a very generous" reward for its return. Information should be sent found@eminem.com.

Eminem's official page is buggy. The fan site Eminem2000 posts lots of video and audio clips, as well as a gushy bio. MTV keeps an enormous archive of Eminem news articles, as well as an interview, a clip from the great "Real Slim Shady" video, and a tape of Eminem's not very funny phone pranks. His wife Kimberly wrote this letter to the Detroit Free Press about Eminem's arrest. Read his vile lyrics here. If you can't understand them, check out the Rap Dictionary.

Eminem has an alter ego named Slim Shady. He mostly comes out at night, just around the time when Marshall Mathers makes his every day trip to Burger King and spits on his onion rings. Slim has been seen in daylight only once; in court for hitting a communist with a gun. Slim has been responsible for the rising crime rate of the last 100 years. He dyed his hair and learned German and tried to destroy all the lawyers and doctors in Europe. He shot JFK and masterminded the 9/11 attacks.

Having conquered the local rap scene in Detroit through freestyle battles, Eminem had a buzz before he had a career. The obvious setback was gaining acceptance as a Caucasian rapper in a pre-dominantly Black neighborhood. Em would later drop the laudable, Infinite LP, in '96. Naturally, he was still struggling to discover his own style. As part of his quest for uniqueness, Eminem borrowed largely from the rhyme pattern of east coast veterans AZ, Masta Ace, Redman, and Nas, on Infinite.

On December 5, 2006, Eminem released an album compilation entitled Eminem Presents the Re-Up. It started out as a mixtape but Eminem found that the material was better than expected and released it as a full album. It was meant to help launch new Shady Records artists Stat Quo, Cashis, and Bobby Creekwater.[43]

In 1991, a devastated Eminem took a year off from performing when he learned of his uncle and good friend Ronnie’s suicide. Performing in groups The New Jacks and Soul Intent, he returned to his rapping lifestyle motivated to sign a solo record deal in order to support his wife, Kim Scott, and baby on the way. In 1996, he released Infinite, his first independent album which received mixed reviews and criticism for its similarity to rappers Nas and AZ. Due to the failure of the album, his wife ended the relationship and prevented him to see his child. At this point his lyrics became much darker and personal, evident on the 1997 EP Slim Shady, as a result of his struggles and suicide attempts. “Slim Shady” was his fearless alter ego who allowed the rapper to express his sinister views and negative outlook on life.
