A photograph belonging to Elton John was seized Thursday from a British art gallery after a complaint was filed by the gallery's management, reports Yahoo. Police in Northumbria, northeastern England, were called to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead. The image in question, "Klara and Edda belly-dancing" (1998) is one of 149 images comprising the "Thanksgiving" installation by renowned US photographer Nan Goldin. It depicts two naked young girls. Among his many honours, Elton John was named a Disney Legend for his numerous outstanding contributions to Disney's films and theatrical works[16] on October 9, 2006, by The Walt Disney Company. It is the company's highest honour. Another measure of fame came back in July 2005 when Madame Tussauds made a statue of Elton John to his measurements; it took more than 1,000 hours to complete.

Elton owns a Cocker Spaniel named Arthur. In the civil-partnership ceremony of Elton and Davide Furnish at the Windsor's Guildhall, they were told that pets were not allowed in the premises. They made Arthur the "Best Man" to allow the dog to attend. (edit)
