Eliza Dushku will be donning scrubs for Fox's upcoming series Nurses, says Variety. The series... known as Philadelphia General is a comedy-drama slated for next season. Dushku plays Eve, the lead character. Katheryn Winnick was originally slated to play the character but has left the show.

Eliza Dushku stumbled into acting when she was barely 10 years old. Tagging along to her older brother's audition, the youngster fell, got a bloody nose and was so dramatic about her injury the casting director noticed, and Dushku's acting career was born. As a teenager, she cut her teeth onscreen with Leonardo DiCaprio in "This Boy's Life" and with Arnold Schwarzenegger in "True Lies." She was tapped to play evil Faith in a handful of episodes of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," but her nasty character was so popular that the part was rewritten as a recurrent role. Dushku continued her slayer role in "Angel," a popular Buffy spin-off before setting her sights back on Hollywood. She played a cheerleader in "Bring It On," appeared in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and shared the screen with Robert De Niro in "City by the Sea."
Actress and ex-smoker Eliza Dushku will launch the auction with the help of 100 smokers committed to quitting. Each participant will apply the new ThinFlex patch and put it to the ultimate flex test in a mass yoga event in Los Angeles on June 29. After the session, Dushku, best known for her roles in the WB's supernatural series "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" and FOX's hit drama "Tru Calling," will write her own message of encouragement on a yoga mat to add to the collection of other yoga mats from some of the biggest names in film, television, sport and music. The mats will be auctioned on eBay or at http://www.NicoDermAuction.com from June 29 through July 18. All proceeds (100 percent) will be donated to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping prevent new generations of smokers from starting in the first place.
