Electromagnetism

Electromagnetism can be traced back to the 17th century, when it was first understood that magnetism and electricity were distinct concepts. But the theory as it is known today was developed over the years of the 19th century, concluding with what is now referred to as classical electromagnetism, guided by the equations referred to as Maxwell’s equations.

Electromagnetism is the force involving the interaction of electricity and magnetism. It is the science of electrical charge, and its rules govern the way charged particles of atoms interact. Electromagnetism is one of the four fundamental forces of the universe (gravity and the "strong" and "weak" forces that hold an atomic nucleus together are the other three). Because its effects can be observed so easily, electromagnetism is the best understood of these four forces.

Electromagnetism was discovered by accident in 1821 by the Danish Physicist H.C. Ørsted. Electromagnetism is used both in the conversion of mechanical energy to electrical energy (in generators) and in the opposite direction in electric motors.

Let’s talk about this subject called (EM) Electromagnetism. Electromagnetism is a large, encompassing theory, so it’s no wonder that many people do not understand it because we cannot see it, feel it or even taste it. A basic book on it will almost immediately dive into the world of boring mathematics, such as Maxwell’s equations!
