Eddie Murphy: Child
built 634 days ago
Actor EDDIE MURPHY has refused to meet his daughter with British pop star MELANIE BROWN, according to reports. The Dreamgirls star previously denied he was the father of Angel Iris until DNA test results proved his paternity in June (07). Brown's legal team is currently attempting to thrash out maintenance and visitation rights for the child at a Los Angeles court, but the case has been postponed for three months because Murphy has refused to submit an offer. And Murphy has reportedly told his legal team he has no interest in ever meeting his daughter. A source told The Sun, "Mel was furious. "She had been planning to take Angel to the courthouse to meet her dad for the first time."

Eddie decided he was no longer going to adhere to the fascists in charge of writing his scripts. He was sick of the demeaning humor involved in each roll he portrayed. After attending night school at Romanowski's School For The Blind, murphy learned how to write award-winning screenplays. His first work was named Little Miss Sunshine after his childhood nickname. Murphy ... starred in the lead roll as 12-year-old Olive. The film was nominated for 187 Academy Awards.

Dad of the year(sarcasm) Eddie Murphy refuses to meet his daughter with Mel B. Why would he wanna meet a child he was even denying was his? The child is better off not knowing her dad denied her when she was born.

Edward Regan Murphy was born April 3, 1961, and raised in Long Island in a middle-class community. He lost his father, a Brooklyn policeman, when he was only eight years old. His sense of humor was ever-present as a child... and he was the proverbial class clown in school. Voted the most popular student at his high school, Murphy was a comedic prodigy, performing for money at the age of fifteen. By eighteen, he was a headline act on the circuit.

Brown filed a paternity suit August 1, 2007 against Murphy, asking for child support for her 3-month-old daughter. Murphy's next film, released in 1986, was The Golden Child. A number of critics panned the movie: David Ehrenstein of American Film called it "a confused fantasy-adventure," and David Handelman of Rolling Stone labeled it "abysmal." But, despite negative reviews, the movie fared well at the box office. Janet Maslin of the New York Times commented that Paramount "has done a much better job of marketing The Golden Child than making it." She added that it was probably just the popular Murphy's presence that attracted moviegoers.
