Mel B.’s one busy mama — she’s “Dancing With the Stars,” prepping for a Spice Girls Reunion Tour AND still battling with Eddie Murphy. According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, she’ll be taking her ex-lover to court on Nov. 14 to make sure he coughs up some dough for their daughter Angel Iris, who friends say, Murphy still hasn’t bothered to see. In the early hours of 2 May 1997, Murphy was driving his wife's SUV down Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. Murphy pulled over, and a transvestite hooker named Atisone Kenneth Seiuli (or "Shalomar") got in. They drove off together, but didn't get far before Murphy was pulled over by a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department squad car. The cops spent half an hour talking amiably with Murphy, warning him about the neighborhood and perhaps getting his autograph before shaking his hand and letting him go. Seiuli, though, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating probation on an earlier prostitution charge.

Murphy's return to Washington comes as Democrats prepare for the next phase of their debate over the Iraq war and President Bush's plan to add 21,500 troops to the country. Nearly two weeks ago, the House approved a nonbinding measure denouncing the plan, while Republicans blocked the measure from coming to the floor in the Senate.
