Easter Seals Project ACTION is pleased to announce the teams for the 2008 Mobility Planning Services Institute, and there's a new team to add since the selections were first identified in this space last week. Easter Seals is currently planning its new office space and expects to move in no later that February 2009. The lease runs for 12 years. ProTen Realty Group represented Easter Seals, while John Dempsey of CB Richard Ellis represented Sears Tower. U.S. Equities Realty assumed leasing and management responsibility for Sears Tower in April 2007 and is coordinating Easter Seals' move into the building.

This July 4th holiday, Easter Seals is launching Full Participation for All at http://www.easterseals.com/sign , a new online petition and campaign to make sure people with disabilities have equal opportunities to be active participants in society. Easter Seals is circulating the petition in communities across the country, increasing awareness of the challenges faced by 54 million Americans with disabilities and encouraging lawmakers to take action on these important issues. The non-profit organization will ... share the petition with policy makers at all levels of federal, state and local government.

Easter-Seals Disability Services Register now for the next distance learning event of Easter Seals Project ACTION.David Knight will address the topic of responsibilities of fixed-route drivers under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The one-hour audio conference will beginat 2 p.m. Eastern time March 26.Knight is an ADA team leader for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. The audio conference is free of charge.
