Bob Dylan was born Robert Allen Zimmerman, but had his name legally changed his name to Bob Dylan in praise of one of his favorite writers, Dylan Thomas. Dylan learned to play the harmonica and the piano at the age of 10, and he is self taught on the guitar. His musical style is famous for being reminiscent of folk, country/blues, rockabilly, rock n' roll, swing and jazz incorporations.
