DVR Players do pretty much the same job as a regular VCR but instead of recording TV shows to lots of video tapes it is recorded to a single hard drive that is inside the DVR player. You may not see it that all those DVR like the Pioneer, will NOT change the STB channel for you (you need to personally press the desired channel on the Astro decoder when the time to record comes). Whereas the MAX will record the right programme all the time. You can assign multiple recording way in advance
