Drowning Pool: Dave Williams
built 233 days ago
Singer Dave Williams from Drowning Pool passed away on August 14th, 2002. Results of the autopsy were inconclusive. Sinner, is Drowning Pool's major laber debut, they did have at least one independant release before that. His nickname "Stage" was given to him by Dimebag Darrel of Pantera. He was ... refered to as"the Mayor" during Ozzfest 2002 due to his good nature and ability to get along with everyone. Even though radio stations rested the song "Bodies" for a few weeks after the 911 attacks, it's appeal was so strong it reemerged to become an even bigger hit on the charts.

Drowning Pool: Sinema This is a tribute to Drowning Pool singer Dave Williams who died in 2002. Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, and P.O.D. are few of the big names paying tribute, and the live footage of the band shows why songs such as "Bodies" became huge sellers. some proceeds from this release go towards a fund set up to help Dave's parents. Dave Williams always wanted to buy his parents a house when he made it big.

November 16, 2007 - Nobody would dare fault Dallas bred band Drowning Pool for taking a much needed vacation any time soon. The band, which originally consisted of Dave Williams, C.J. Pierce, Stevie Benton, and Mike Luce, has virtually been working and carrying on non-stop since their inception way back in the late '90s.

After their devastating loss last year, Drowning Pool are back with a vengeance. He’s got some big shoes to fill (former frontman Dave Williamson wasn’t exactly a little guy), but Jason ‘Gong’ Jones does a seamless job of fitting in to the new lineup. Close your eyes during ‘Bodies’’ seductive chanting and its as if they never went away.
``Jason Jones will never take over the real Drowning Pool,’’ one listener wrote on a message board on the band’s Web site. The posting continued, ``If somebody in a band dies, then they should not go on. If Dave would’ve left the band, it would’ve been different.’’
