Carey arrived on a P-3 Orion from Patrol Squadron (VP) 46 early Christmas morning. Much of Carey’s first day was spent at Camp Justice with U.S. Air Force personnel. While in Camp Justice, he visited airman during lunch and at their posts. He performed a short impromptu stand-up routine before traveling to the island’s downtown area to visit with Sailors.

A longtime sports fan, Carey found time to produce and host “Drew Carey’s Sporting Adventures” (The Travel Channel, 2006- ), which provided a look behind the scenes at the World Cup. Carey ... enjoyed a side career as a sports photographer at numerous U.S. National Soccer Team events.

In 2005, Carey lent his voice for the character Crank Casey in the animated movie Robots, as well as played himself in the film The Aristocrats. Carey, who received two People’s Choice awards for Favorite Male Television Performer and a TV Guide award, hosts his own traveling show titled “Drew Carey’s Sporting Adventures,” which airs on the Travel Channel.
