Madeleine Stowe, Mary Stuart Masterson, Andie MacDowell, and Drew Barrymore are the stars of this Western whose main gimmick is making heroes into heroines. They all start out as prostitutes, as Cody (Stowe) shoots a drunken colonel who attempts to molest Anita (Masterson). She is about to be lynched for defending her friend when the other "bad girls" ride in and rescue her, pursued by detectives. The rest of the film follows their adventures as they get caught up in hostage situations, bank robberies, shootouts, and romantic interludes with handsome young cowboys with never a hair out of place or an unsightly smudge of Western dust. Amazingly, all four former prostitutes are able to ride, shoot, rope, and fight as well. Bad Girls is not likely to be thought of as a realistic view of how women lived in the Old West.

Nice girl Drew Barrymore is one of the last stars you’d expect to be involved in a bar fight! Drew and her boyfriend, Justin Long, were partying at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood on January 5 when another club patron snapped a picture of them with a small digital camera. According to a witness, Drew was upset over the invasion of privacy and complained to a bar employee. A fight broke out with Drew and Justin stuck in the middle. “Drew and Justin ran out of there as quickly as they could,” the witness says. Police were called to the scene to break up the brawl.

In her first movie, at the age of 4, Drew Barrymore played William Hurt's daughter in the trippy drama Altered States. She was already a veteran performer, having appeared in numerous TV commercials, and two years later she played Henry Thomas's pigtailed kid sister in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. At the end of E.T., the cuddly space alien told Barrymore to be good, and at 7 she became the youngest person ever to host Saturday Night Live. Off camera, though, she was an alcoholic by the age of 9, a cokehead by 12, and after two stints in rehab she wrote her autobiography at 14, titled Little Girl Lost.

Yes, Drew Barrymore was actually engaged to Jamie Walters at one point. Either she really is so sunshiny and sweet that she thought that could work out, or she’s super-dumb and has worse taste in men than a Gabor sister. She’s still wearing Uggs, after all; God knows what’s actually going on.
