Being a port of a Playstation remake of the NES game, Dragon Quest IV falls between the old-school presentation of the older Dragon Quest games and the more detailed 3D in Level-5's Dragon Quests VIII and IX. The environments are all 3D, but your party is composed of sprites.

Jeff (#9) - Dragon Quest games have always been exclusive to the platform they're announced for. The DS is the most popular game machine in Japan right now, so it makes sense that they'd want to release it on that (even though its a handheld).

In Dragon Quest V übernimmt der Spieler die Rolle eines Helden. Das besondere an Teil V ist, das der Spieler von Geburt an dem Weg seines Charakters verfolgt und zum Teil auch Einfluss auf den weiteren Verlauf des Abenteuers hat. Dem Spieler ist nur bekannt, dass der Held als Baby mit seinem Vater umhergereist ist und etwas gesucht hat. Als der Held im Alter von sechs Jahren in sein Heimatdorf zurückkehrt, erfährt der Spieler, dass Prinz Henry entführt wurde. Der Vater des Helden beschließt ihn zu retten.

Dragon Quest Monsters - Joker is an incomplete experience, it is one the fans will still clamor for. The great character design is there, and Dragon Quest rarely disappoints in the narrative, but the combat hurts this for converts and casual fans.
