Draco Malfoy is from Slytherin house. A boy with a pale, pointed sneering face. He is always accompanied by Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle and occasionally Pansy Parkinson. He constantly boasts about being pureblood and his family's wealth.

In the fifth year Malfoy inevitably becomes a Slytherin Prefect, along with Pansy Parkinson. He is most amused to find that Harry has not been granted the same position. The rule of Dolores Umbridge sees plenty of opportunities for Slytherin advancement, and towards the end of the year Draco becomes a leader in the Inquisitorial Squad, Umbridge's personal police force within Hogwarts.

Draco first meets Harry Potter in Madam Malkin's in HPPS 5, as they are both getting measured for their Hogwarts robes. He doesn't know who Harry is, so he talks freely, about his wish to be in Slytherin and his prejudices against Muggle-borns.

Summary: The great tradition, the Leaving Ball, an event that only occured when a Malfoy completed his seventh year at Hogwarts is a great Slytherin secret. At least, it was until Draco Malfoy decided to go out with a bang! This can only end in tears.

Malfoy certainly did talk about flying a lot. He complained loudly about first years never getting on the house Quidditch teams and told long, boastful stories that always seemed to end with him narrowly escaping Muggles in helicopters.

Draco shot Harry an amused grin as he stepped through the doorway, and Harry returned a small smile. Draco strolled into the house, strutting in a way that truly resembled a model's walk — of course, save the ridiculous raincoat.
