Double Dare was an American television game show, produced by Mark Goodson - Bill Todman Productions, that ran from 1976 to 1977 on CBS. Alex Trebek was the host, with Johnny Olson and later Gene Wood announcing. The show was created by Jay Wolpert. Double Dare was Alex Trebek's only CBS game show, with all others originally airing either on NBC, in syndication or in Canada (he ... only hosted one show for ABC, the Super Jeopardy! special tournament in 1990).

Made in 2004, Double Dare is Amanda Micheli's look inside the world of stuntwomen. She follows two stuntwomen, one at the beginning of her career (Zoe Bell) and one at the end (Jeannie Epper). Bell began the film (as well as her career) as Lucy Lawless' stunt double in Xena: Warrior Princess and ended working as Uma Thurman's stunt double for Kill Bill. Since then, she's worked on several smaller projects, and she recently came in front of the camera in the Tarantino/Rodriguez project Grindhouse.

Double Dare always started with two teams competing in a messy physical challenge for control of the board. The physical challenges usually consisted of slime, maple syrup, oatmeal, jelly, or any other messy substance. The team that won this event would control the board, which meant that all the questions would be asked to them. When they came to a question they didn't know the answer to, or thought the other team didn't know, they could dare them to answer it for double the amount (the original amount that a question was worth began at $10). The other team could always double-dare the original team to answer it for four times the amount. Then the team would have to either answer the question or take a physical challenge, which was always messy.

The original Double Dare from 1986-1991 was awesome. Some of the early episodes show a stiff Marc Summers and confused kids who don't know how to play the game, but those two things improved over the years. Marc Summers was a great host. He didn't try to act hip and cool, and he wasn't super geeky either. He just had the perfect mix to make him the best host for a kids show. Harvey was a great announcer and a great second banana to Marc.

Double Dare were hired by Cheshire in an attempt to destroy the Secret Six. They faced Deadshot in a park with his wife and child, who ran away once the duo showed up. Being without a weapon, Deadshot could only fight, and was easily defeated by both of them, about to be executed until his wife threw him a gun, allowing him to get the upper hand. Deadshot was about to kill them both but allowed them to escape, not wanting to shoot them in front of his daughter.
