This ambitious two-CD release from Columbia is not strictly a soundtrack release but, as it features many songs written for and featured in some of the classic films that starred Doris Day, it is definitely worth a mention. The collection includes forty-eight songs originally recorded by Columbia between 1944 and 1966. Many of Doris Day's songs form part of a generation's popular music.
