Each Doodlebops episode relies on reuse sequences. These sequences account for 3-4 minutes of the show's 22 minute running time. Reuse sequences are video segments that are shot once and subsequently used in each of the 26 episodes which comprise one Doodlebops broadcast season. Examples of Doodlebops reprocess sequences include "The Doodlebop Pledge", Moe's rope pull/water douse, "Get on the Bus", Concert Theatre Montage, and the occasional Concert Song reuse.

Doodlebops was created by producer and director Jamie Waese, Carl Lenox and Michael Hirsh. The characters of the series are part of a band for kids. The shows are marked a combination of skits, humor and music that teach social lessons to the kids. The concerts of Doodlebops see active participation by the preschool kids singing and dancing. The band members with heavy make up dress up like cartoon characters.

The Doodlebops are distraught when they find out their instruments are missing. Luckily Mazz is there to show them that you can make music with all kinds of household objects. They take their "Junk Funk" out into the street and have a great time. Their instruments turn up at the concert hall but Deedee, Rooney and Moe decide to do this show without them.

Ten lucky auction winners and Starlight Starbright families recently enjoyed an exclusive VIP Playdate and Special Concert by the Doodlebops, the rockin’ children’s musical group. Deedee, Rooney and Moe signed photos and posed for photos with the Starlight Starbright Families before performing as the opening act for the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus at Staples Center. All proceeds from the auction directly help Starlight Starbright to provide joy and distraction – including Doodlebops music! – to seriously ill children and their families across the nation.

With a rhyming introduction of the band the manager begins each Doodlebops concert. A large screen is lowered and a video is played wherein Deedee takes great pleasure in annoying Mudge by telling him a joke During the concert sequence of each show.
