Donna Hopkins is a fresh, bright new talent with an old soul, inspiring new listeners as well as old fans. She is a guitar player's player and a singer's singer. It is a great honor to play with her.
Donna is a unique combination of talent and energy. Her background explains some of that. She was born in Chicago in 1946 to Esther and Michael Centanne. Her dad is of strong Italian background, while her mom's people came from Persia, now known as Iran. Donna is a dark-haired, dark-eyed woman with wonderfully expressive gestures and a passion for ideas and people. She is the energetic firstborn of a vibrant family that claimed Chicago as home until moving to Phoenix in 1979.

[Who is Donna Troy? - New Teen Titans (first series) 38] Remembering nothing of her experiences, Donna took the costumed identity of Wonder Girl. She became a founding member of the Teen Titans along with Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash. Over the years, the team grew and changed, but Donna, Dick and Wally stayed in nearly every incarnation. Still with the team, Donna graduated from college, became a professional photographer, and met college professor Terry Long, with whom she fell in love and married. Eventually, she was contacted by the Titans of Myth, who restored her memories. She and several other “seeds” saved the Titans, and she took the name Troia in honor of her newfound heritage.

Unable to handle being rejected by her first love, an emotionally-wrecked Donna fled Point Place for California, where she lived with her mother and tried to sort out her feelings. She decided she truly did love Eric and tried to call him but couldn't get hold of him; she suspected he no longer wanted her and had moved on to another girlfriend, leaving her rather depressed. But then, to her delight, Eric showed up in California looking for her, and the two reunited and returned to Point Place. When Donna came home from California, the normally easy-going Bob sent her to a Catholic school as punishment, an act that Donna deeply resented and hated for the remainder of the school year.
