While Donkey Kong Classics may not be an original cartige, it's great for old school Donkey Kong gamers. It's not often that Nintendo puts out a multi-cart, so you have to appriciate the ones they do make.

In Donkey Kong 64, her clothing was a beanie hat, blue overalls, a white T-Shirt, and white shoes. She was freed by Diddy Kong in the Angry Aztec level in the building near Candy's Music Shop. Her weapon is the Feather Crossbow, her instrument is the Saxophone Slam, the Potion enables her for Mini-Monkey, Pony-Tail Whirl, and Monkey-Port. She can shrink when she jumps into her special barrel, allowing her access to areas other Kongs cannot go. She can do a helicopter-spin, equivalent to Dixie's, to slow down her descent. This has the added benefit of negating damage from a high leap. She can user the pad to Monkey-Port to secret areas that other Kongs cannot get to.

You can't go wrong with both Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. on one convenient cartridge. Both of these games are superb adaptations of the arcade originals, and both offer two skills levels. There's nothing here you won't find on the individual carts .... ©Copyright2004TheVideoGameCritic.

The difficulty level in "Mario vs. Donkey Kong" starts low with simple "jump here" or "climb there" puzzles, but it gets harder. In the early levels you can fall, restart and retrace your footsteps. That goes away as lava, crumbling bridges and dropping platforms prevent backtracking. By the end, with ghosts dogging you, time running quickly and more puzzles than ever, "MVD" gets downright challenging . . . by the end.

Note that in Donkey Kong Country there is an orangutan enemy called Manky Kong similar to Lanky in both appearance and name. It unknown if they have any relation or if Lanky Kong was based on Manky Kong.
