Donkey: Donkey Kong

The Donkey Kong battle itself probably wouldn't support a full-length documentary, so director Seth Gordon wisely focuses on his two fascinating leads, instead. Billy is one of those characters that even the most creative fiction writer would have trouble making up. Brash and smart, standing tall with a mane of long black hair and his trademark black clothes (often accented by a red-white-and-blue tie), he strides through the video game subculture like royalty. Steve is the opposite. Soft-spoken and shy, he's a well-meaning family man who's blessed with talent but never quite managed to be the best at anything, until Donkey Kong came along. Gordon does a fantastic job telling both men's stories while ... giving time to a rogue's gallery of wonderfully odd characters from deep within the world of competitive gaming.

Donkey Kong got a little twisted after Smash Brothers Melee, as seen on jungle beat, he won't stop beating something until it explodes, or obliterates, or just emotionally gives up on life. When invited to play baseball with Mario, he would kill anyone who threw the ball at him while at bat. For the videogame's sake, all anyone would see was Donkey Kong running up to the pitcher. Of course, blodd was spilt leading to the untimely death of Toad slave #673. snapping childrens necks, rolling people in wheel chairs down VERY steep hills, crushing small animals, drinking bloody Marys (with real blood), beating on his nephew Diddy, raping Candy Kong and so much more, We can tell you one thing, you do NOT wanna cross this kong in a dark alleyway, or anywhere for that matter. He is ... rumored to do meth every now and then, he thinks it will make him stronger and a better killer.

Jumpman -- known today as Mario -- must traverse levels (structures) to save his girlfriend, Pauline, from Donkey Kong before time runs out. The levels include Girders, Rivets, Elevators, and Conveyor Belts. Mario must avoid flames, barrels, and bouncing rivets to reach his goal.

Donkey Kong is ... notable for being one of the first complete narratives in video game form, told through simplistic cut scenes that advance the story. It should also be noted that in versions of the game for early 1980's consoles, Donkey Kong only used 2-3 of the original levels, with the cement factory usually omitted.
