Virginia Republicans say they have a plan to do what the federal government either cannot do or chooses to ignore: deal with illegal immigrants once they’re here and then get them out. Republicans are rolling out these immigration proposals early because they want them to be an issue in the November elections. But, they say, there’s more to it than just politics. Virginia Republicans say they are tired of waiting for Washington to crack down on illegal immigration. Now, they have some ideas of their own on how to stop the alien strain on Virginia taxpayers.

Responding to the NCC's statement, Virgin Media's CEO Steve Burch said: "Virgin Media wants to do the right thing by its customers and resolve this dispute, as well as its underlying causes. We think our customers will quickly recognise that the improvements we've recently made to our TV service, together with other exciting enhancements we've got in the pipeline, make Virgin Media's TV service the most comprehensive and exciting in the UK. Over the next month... if they don't agree, we will not use technical legalities to stand in the way of them switching to another service.
